Welcome to the Potomac Valley Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

On behalf of our more than 200 dynamic and dedicated members, I am honored to welcome you to the official website of the Potomac Valley Alumnae Chapter (PVAC). As the Chapter’s 16th President, it is a privilege to serve and to continue advancing the mission of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated through sisterhood, scholarship, and service.

Since our chartering on April 27, 1985, PVAC has upheld the vision of our 22 Founders and the legacy of our 28 Charter Members by making a lasting impact in Western Montgomery County, Maryland. For nearly four decades, we have been committed to programs that uplift and empower, rooted in Delta’s Five-Point Programmatic Thrust:

• Economic Development – Financial Fortitude Fridays, DFree, Minerva Awards
• Educational Development – Reading is Fundamental, EMBODI, Delta GEMS, Dr.Betty Shabazz Delta Academy
• International Awareness & Involvement – The Helen Project International, Life Connection Mission, Sustainability Initiatives
• Physical & Mental Health – St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, March of Dimes, wellness initiatives
• Political Awareness Involvement – Voter Education; Mobilization, Women’s Legislative Briefing, Civic Engagement for Youth
